  19. I had exactly this problem; a quick look with SnoopDos revealed that much
  20. of the time is taken up opening font files. In particular, the program
  21. uses scalable fonts if you've got them.

  23. If you look at the fonts options requester to check which sizes AWeb
  24. wants, then you can either change them to the sizes you've got, or create
  25. some bitmaps of the correct size with Intellifont. It doesn't fix the
  26. problem completely, but it certainly speeds things up a lot!
